Win Money Contests

If you love to enter contests and you want to increase your chances of winning, there are several things you can do.

Here are some examples of contest win strategies you might use to increase your chances of winning.

For money contests offered by radio stations, focus on smaller radio stations in local communities. The larger the broadcast area, the more people will call to win. The $10,000 purse may be tempting but you aren’t as likely to win that regional or national money contest as you are to win $1,000 in your local radio contest. Program the radio station phone number into your speed dial and listen for the time to call. Then dial away!

If you enter a lottery or sweepstakes contest, look at the odds published on the fliers and contest notices. Again, if the sweepstakes contest is a national contest, your odds of winning will be lower. If the lottery drawing or money contest is offered in more than one state, your odds of winning will be lower. The more people who are eligible to participate in a contest, the less chance you have of winning the money contest.

Enter a money contest in your local community. If you can find one where the number of contest tickets is limited, your odds of winning will be greater. You will have to pay more for the raffle ticket or entry coupon but the cash payout will be greater and you will have a better chance of winning.

When you enter a money contest where you have to buy a raffle ticket, you may be tempted to buy a lot of tickets in order to increase your chance of winning. Of course you will spend more to enter to win, but if the odds go up, you have a better chance of winning. Keep in mind that a 10 in 5,000,000 chance of winning a sweepstakes contest or money contest is not much better than a 1 in 5,000,000 chance of winning. If you have an extra couple of dollars to spend, you could give it a shot, but the statistical odds of your picking the winning ticket are not much better than the odds of your winning if you buy only one ticket.

When you enter contests, it is easy to lose yourself in the daydream, imagining what you will do with the money when you win the contest. If you don’t want to be disappointed, keep your feet on the ground and focus on the contests where you have a better chance of winning. But don’t be surprised if you lose!
